What kinds of ideas about presentation skills did you think about as Sir Ken Robinson presented his ideas about education? How could you incorporate what you saw into your own TED talk?
When Sir Ken Robinson gave his TED talk he was not only professional but had a little bit of humor to keep his talk interesting. He also looked and acted like he was comfortable talking in suck a large crowd. When presenting to a large crowd or even a little one it is important to be comfortable and balance humor with seriousness to keep them interested and for them to take away something from your presentation (learn something). Sir Ken Robinson is a great example of using enough of both professional and humor in his talk. This is a very important but difficult skill that I will need to accomplish for my own TED talk.
How did Sir Ken Robinson's talk resonate with you? How might/ might not Genius Hour Support Ken Robinson's ideas about how to change education?
The topic of how we can improve education goes hand-in-hand with today's society and it should be talked about more. There are many approaches that someone could take in order to make people think about what education should be like. Sir Ken Robinson gave a nice talk about this topic and made it very interesting for the people who watched and listened to it. I agree with Sir Ken and I could pay attention and take something away from the presentation/talk. I believe education could change for the better in some ways, like not giving as much importance in standardized tests and try to focus more on actually learning material. I think Kingsford is a great example because teachers strive for the kids to do better and care if a l student is succeeding as well as learning material.
